Alex Stein is a true techno believer. The Brazilian home-grown artist with roots all the way from the old continent because of his German background is dropping a new mesmerizing 2-track release full of bravura and hypnotism that will instantly turn any club inside out. And he doesn’t do it alone, together with him this time is the UK producer Transcode.
“Control Me” and “Unfold” are definitely big tunes that religiously lift any crowd. Both are immersive underground techno cuts shaped with manic bass lines, solid beats and subtly spooky sonics. The tracks smoulder more than they burn, and are undeniably hypnotic.
The compromise, the connection between body, mind and dance floor go together on this occasion. Alex Stein and Transcode make it possible; these guys are devotional in nature operating in the shadowy space between techno and psyche.
Despite their busy summer schedule, we were able to catch Alex and Transcode in the studio and ask them a few questions about their new EP ‘Control Me’
