Fresh off fatherhood and a tongue-in-cheek Papal campaign, Bawrut is back with Papa Bawrut Part 2 — the second holy chapter in his ongoing sonic sermon. Outrageously original and gloriously unhinged, the EP lands with a triple threat of fearless, genre-bending club cuts that refuse to play by the rules.
Leading the release is “La Notte”, a hypnotic late-night anthem sparked by Italian pop star Mahmood’s performance of Klan. “I had forgotten how amazing the repetition of La Notte sounded, so I used it as the foundation,” Bawrut explains. “Because when do we all come together to dance? La Notte, of course.” The result is a playful yet powerful track designed for peak dancefloor moments — raw, rhythmic, and dripping with personality.
Up next, “Vibracall” flips nostalgia on its head. “A lot of club music today sounds like it’s stuck in the year 2000,” says Bawrut. “If I’m going to use the past, I want something iconic.” The twist? A reimagined ringtone from the earliest mobile phones — turned into a percussive weapon of dancefloor disruption. It’s witty, it bangs, and it’s unmistakably Bawrut.
Closing the EP is a deeper, shadowy remix of “La Notte” by Hammer, bringing ghostly textures, bubbling synths, and razor-sharp percussion into focus. It’s the perfect comedown — introspective yet propulsive, giving space to breathe after the EP’s more chaotic moments.
Papa Bawrut Part 2 is unfiltered, unpredictable, and pulsing with the same wild inspiration that’s made Bawrut a beloved outlier in the underground scene. It’s club music with character, guts, and just the right amount of madness.
