Brazilian beat alchemist Renato Cohen returns to Pets Recordings with his most combustible concoction yet – the ‘ETHER’ EP, a high-voltage trip through funk-fueled formulas and dancefloor chemistry.
Continuing his tradition of highly flammable funk, Cohen follows up the heat of ‘Meltin’’ and the volatile bounce of ‘Benzine’ with a three-track experiment engineered to spark chemical reactions wherever it’s dropped.
The title track ‘ETHER’ is pure ignition – a dancefloor detonation of horn-fueled energy and explosive drums that combust on contact. This track doesn’t just catch fire – it starts one.
Next up is ‘2000 Heats’, a disco-laced dance potion brimming with shimmering guitar licks and filtered grooves, ensuring that dancefloors will melt as Renato dials the temperature.
Closing out his latest experiment is the searing ‘Firefall’ – a creeping acid burner that tips the pH balance with its twisted vocals and deep chemical haze. It’s the final component in a carefully calibrated mix of danger, desire, and dancefloor destruction.
