Russian producer and DJ Inga Mauer was assaulted by the security and then arrested at Flow Festival in Helsinki, Finland.
According to the statement of her agency, she ‘was brutally beaten up by the security team at Flow Festival Helsinki’.
Marie Davidson, Mauer’s friend and an artist who also performed at the festival, said that she saw ‘a bunch of security guys holding a girl on the ground while she was screaming’. In her statement on Facebook, Marie also stated that Inga ‘was bleeding from her knee and in shock’ and also noted that they were sober. Davidson was also forcibly ejected from the festival after trying to come to Mauer’s aid.
Festival organisers took responsibility of this incident and announced the investigation. They also noted that Local Crew Oy was responsible for Flow Festival’s 2017 security.
Inga was later arrested and spent the night in the prison cell. She shared her story on Facebook and revealed that the incident started after she ‘was starving’ and started to ‘enjoy a meal when two people grabbed her hands and started dragging her on the ground’.
